He's got this yaya-papaya look eh.
And he looks as if he's got thick eyeliner on!

The boy was actually shortlisted for a photoshoot for a Sony camcorder insert but the shoot was to take place last Friday when we were in Hong Kong. Oh well, I guess he would have definitely preferred Hong Kong than doing the shoot! Am sure that there would be other opportunities :)

Yes, we spent one whole week in Hong Kong. Aidan had heaps of fun - not surprising since he had 5 days of Disneyland. As we'd stayed in Disneyland hotel, we were given an extra day pass at the park for every pass we purchased. We encountered rain during our first few days in HK but that didn't spoil our fun. There were no queues so we could go for endless rides and we even watched the fireworks in the rain (with umbrellas shielding us of coz!).

I spent one full tiring day at Shenzhen with [info]mengchoo and her kakis..She was there to have her curtains for her new place done. Didn't really buy much there though. Shenzhen is good for buying imitation stuff or home & decor items! The food there was really excellent and cheap though! Have to mention a must place to shop in HK - the Citigate outlets at Tung Chung, Lantau (just 2 stops from Disneyland MTR). It is Hong Kong's first and only outlet mall and houses brand names like Burberry, Club 21,Kate Spade, A/X, Vivienne Tam, Polo Ralph Lauren just to name a few..

claudiachengTracey joined us at Disneyland with Claudia. You can see more pics of Aidan & Claudia playing together here She also brought us to Stanley Market where the kids got to enjoy themselves at the beach! Aidan got along so well with her kids. Her younger boy Matt kept following Aidan around, insisting on holding his hands and playing with him. Very cute lah!

Not hard to guess which ride was Aidan's fave!

So when I saw this costume at Stanley Market, I knew I had to get it for him. He loved it so much although I think he looks more like a bumblebee than Buzz Lightyear. Well, at least Toy Story 3 will be in the theatres soon so Buzz wouldn't be so 'out-dated'. Now he's saying that he wants to wear the costume on his birthday *awk*!

It was really a good break for me :) Not sure if I'm able to squeeze in one more holiday at the end of the year especially since Aidan is gonna be in P1 next year (so less holidays!!).

for all the times i've been to hkg, i've never got a chance to go to citigate. and i'm been hearing people getting good bargains there.

I guess it is because it is just so non-central..pple are so used to shopping at either HK Island or Kowloon. But it is a great place to shop! In fact, the best thing to do is to book a late fight out from hk, check-in yr luggage at HK express and head straight to Citigate and shop till it is time to go to the airport hehe..

Hey that means you got back just before the typhoon warning hit! Super lucky!! :) Haha, he looks super satisfied in his Buzz Lightyear costume lah! I went to Citygate in March after we visited Lantau island. I thought the Club21 outlet, Kate spade outlet were pretty good but the rest were still pretty expensive. Bf managed to grab 2 pairs of jeans from the Giordano outlet and at S$20 each and he was reaally happy :P

Yeah, we had several days of really good weather in HK and returned on Monday night. And then I read abt the typhoon warning in HK after we returned *heng ah*

Yup, the Club 21 outlet had really good deals but I didn't buy anything there coz everything was so 'summery'. I thought the deals at Kate Spade & Polo Ralph Lauren were q good. I think there was more sale items this time round coz it's supposed to be the sale period in HK.

u will be back in aug right? with kids? im still tickled by the memory of how well aidan and matt played together. btw, i do have a favour from u. if you are going back to stanley market, are you able to help me buy 2 more of the buzz lightyear costume. one of the same size (5/6 years old?) and the other, one size bigger.

wow disney and buzz! Why does everyone manage to get a photo with Buzz except me...it's so sad...Buzz like went "onleave" when I was there last Sep for my bday...saw him at the parade though....really wish I had a pic with him.

Astro blaster is my fav too, still remember it and telling Mummy I want to go again... how I wish we would have the chance to go again, we loved HK disney... making us miss HK really... can I tompang the buzz costume too? haha...mummy will pay u

Buzz was mainly standing at the food outlet opposite the Astro blaster area..maybe he just wasn't on duty when u were there.

I'll ask Tracey whether she can get another outfit then! It is only abt SGD20 bucks.

Sorry..i really can't remember which tour agency we signed on for but it was with one of the big ones..either ctc,chan bro. basically, it's the central japan tour..not unsimilar to this one here cept that this actually includes shopping at gotemba! If I'm not mistaken, we paid abt $1.5k per adults for the package but we'd also extended our stay in Tokyo for 3 days so we had to top up misc costs. Natas is gonna be soon right? Great time to shop for a good deal!
