Been attending quite a number of weddings lately..the most recent one was just yesterday, at Germaine & James' big day at Sentosa Resort & Spa. One of the reasons why I don't mind attending weddings is that I can get to wear my pretty cocktail dresses, most of which I've only like worn once before. Heh..so vain yah. But I also like to be part of a happy occasion lah. Here's my wish to the blissful couples - Hope you both grow old on one pillow! May you love and hold each other in the best & worst of times with trust, faith and belief!

Was at the PinkDot event yesterday. Many turned up in pink to show their support for the LGBT community. The newspaper reported that there were 1,000 but sources revealed that there were about 2,500 pple. No, it wasn't a protest or parade of any sort...more of a celebratory event for those who believe in the freedom to love, regardless of their sexual orientation and to give support towards open-mindedness and understanding. The idea was to form a giant pink human circle and have an aerial shot taken of it...which they succeeded in doing as u can see from the picture here (the shot was taken from Furama hotel)

Those who knows me personally or who have been following my blog regularly would have always hear me describing Aidan as someone who is extremely hyper and active. Yeah..obviously not my baby...That's me with li' Kristy whose mommy has kindly loaned to Jean & I for picture taking/brief babysitting! The li' bub was soooooo cute and remarkably well-behaved. And for a while, it did make me regret not having another baby when I still could :P And that baby smell...man, I really miss that! Again, it was nice catching up with Pei Fen & Jean and seeing baby Kristy. Had been quite busy at work with several on-going projects although that wasn't the reason why I haven't been updating. It was just pure laziness on my part :P So this blog entry will be like a 5-in-1 with tons of pictures (which some of you would have seen on my FB) which was taken during the past few weeks or so :P

Reminder to self. Don't talk too much to a journalist. Even though she's a colleague. I think I have a tendency to rattle on non-stop and talk abt inane stuff, not unlike how I write my blog entries. And my colleagues actually asked me why I'd given them such an ugly pic of myself. Have to agree. I look like a ghost on newsprint! But heh, I actually don't mind because at least I don't look fat. When I showed Aidan his pic, his comment was "Oh, it's me again! And with Mommy!" I think he's getting used to seeing himself in the papers. Uh-oh!

The editorial piece on mommy bloggers was scheduled for this week because it's the Mother's Day week. I think it came out quite positive. Serene from DL called me last Tuesday, the day before I was to leave for Redang so I did a phone interview with her. I'd passed to Serene four other moms' contacts to interview but she'd only contacted 3 of them [i'm sure you know by now who they are :)]. I thought the pic of Joan,Terence and li' Clare taken by the ST photographer was really nice! And I like the quote by Adele about being able to "live vicariously" through her blog for a while when she was on confinement.

I told Serene that if not for my blog, I wouldn't have met these wonderful group of people whom I could share my joys and woes with and my son wouldn't have gotten that many playmates. Too bad she didn't have that on print!

There are new books, some of which I would have bought even if they were at their usual price. Most of the books were going for $5 and hardcovers at $8..Tons of children books too which make great X'mas pressies!

I think I'm getting senile. First, I forgot about our wedding anniversary. Then it completely slipped my mind that ahbang's birthday was on Sat 14th, one day after the New Face event. He was in Indonesia, scuba-diving (yeah, in this haze - crazy right?). He only returned on Sun night at about 11pm and by that time, I was already quite mabok due to the consecutive days of late nights and total lack of zz. It was only this morning on the way to work that I realised..damn, I'd completely forgotten about it. I didn't even wish him at all! I swear..I'm getting old ahead of time (then again, I am old already! *sob*).
Thanks Pei Fen for rushing down the pressie at such short notice! I really owe you man!! So farnee lah you.."Saving your marriage is more important than collecting money!" He's delighted with the pressie and it's now sitting nicely in his car =)

Had a li' get-together yesterday..for once, almost all the food was finished! It helped that I was expecting 15-20 people and in the end, about 30++ (not including the kids) turned up so we 'under-cooked/ordered' which made it just perfect :P Nenita was superb..she only started preparing/cooking at 3pm & by 6pm, she managed to whip up a huge serving of beehoon, curry chicken, fried chicken wings and potato patties. Hubby also drove down to Joo Chiat and bought the pepper/chilli crabs from Eng Seng Restaurant . And also thanks to those who came over especially those who bought food or else we wouldn't have enough for everyone!

Okay..no cute Leslie Kwok's mug today but some ljers crashed dropped by the event to say hi!
