Darn....something's wrong with my camera today!! Actually, the camera's fine but it's the the usb port socket point that's the problem..I can't seem to upload the pics from the digicam to the pc and I keep getting the message This is no Cf card in the connected camera or cardreader even when I've already plugged the wire in *sigh*..I think that my daily taking of pictures and uploading has probably led to this seemingly wear-and-tear problem. Not sure what to do now..I gotta go search for the warranty card first (it's probably lost) and see whether the problem can be rectified. Anyone encountered such a problem before?

I think it's a sign that I should be taking lesser pics too or else people may think I have a reverse Oedipal complex ... I'd actually just sent a loadful of my digitial pics to an online shop to be printed and since I hadn't had any of my pics printed since Aidan was @7 months plus, u can imagine how many prints there were and the price of it all *awk*.. Mom was just looking tru the photo albums, which I'd spent the last night arranging nicely and commented that I should mebbe take lesser pics or else Aidan may need a big cabinet just to store all his childhood pictures. He already has 3 huge photo albums to store all the pics taken since birth..

Hmm but I realise I don't have much 'inspiration' nor inclination to update my LJ when I have no pics..Oh well, heh..maybe if it's really spoilt, I can go buy a new digicam :D~~ Any good recommendation for an idiot proof, relatively okay-priced and easy to use digicam? I've gotten so used to my Nikon tho..that if I buy another cam, I may choose to get another Nikon but the main con of this cam is that the battery life is really short..

Aidan seems to be getting quite attached to me lately. He's constantly arrowing me to be the one to carry him and when either hubby or my in-laws are carrying him, the minute he spots me, he'll raise his arms and beckon at me and start trying to climb out of whoever's arms he's in. And whenever I try to transfer him outta my arms to theirs, he'll start resisting..sometimes to the point of crying. It doesn't help that he's gotten kinda heavy (about 10kg+) *awk*..Sometimes I admit, it does feel good to be so 'wanted' but there are times when I badly need a break though..

Hopefully, this will be a phase. At least he's still easily distracted and will stop clamouring for me once he is tempted with food or some toy.

Took these pics of the little one in a pink pj a while back during the CNY week..No..I'm not in the habit of letting Aidan cross-dress..Just that he was at a friends' place till quite late and so they lent me their daughter's pajamus for him to wear and this was him, early next morning having his biscuit snack..Pretty in pink eh~~

SD- Secure Digital e.g. used in Palm PDA
CF- Compact Flash e.g. used in yr camera
MS- Memory Stick e.g. used in Sony gadgets

My reader cost me around $60-80? It's cheap coz mine was a no-brand, as long as it works fine for me! The card reader is a longish and flat device.

Ok, one more thing.
If you are using PC, likely that it has no PCMCIA card slot (e.g. a slot to read cash card from a cash card reader). You need an adapter which can plug unto the USB port of your PC.

If you are using laptop, check if you have the PCMCIA card slot. If you have it, then just plug the card reader into the PCMCIA card slot and it should work! If you don't, then you will still need the adapter.

That's all for now. It's quite simple, just know how the card reader will co-exist with yr gizmos!

Just wonderin, will my Nikon Reader (the software that came with the camera) automatically read from the cardreader?

For my cam's reader software, it does auto-read from the card reader. IF it doesnt work, you can copy as from one drive to another drive! Easy yo~
