Made potato and tuna patties for Aidan yesterday afternoon..Fed him 5 pieces and decided to let him feed himself using a fork with the 6th. Boy, was it a messy affair! Food ended up on the floor, on his face, his clothes, his hair, the chair-tray...everywhere but in his mouth. He couldn't tahan after a while so he gave up with the fork and decided to just use his hands instead :)

Aidan's first molar sprouted sometime early this week. It was his lower left molar. I didn't realise it till my in-laws told me [and I'm the one who's with him 24/7 .tsk!] They were playing toss with him and when he was laughing with his mouth wide open, they glimpsed the li' white crown of the lower molar and dad then checked to see if it was really there.
This could be the reason why he was drooling heaps during the last week too. I did notice that his temperature was a li' higher than usual then but not too high to cause any alarm. Thankfully, he didn't fuss at all which was why I didn't know the molar had appeared!
His other molars should be sprouting soon too I guess...Just hope that they won't irritate him that much.

Oh..and Aidan self-weaned off breastmilk sometime last week
Kinda sad actually coz I'd really enjoy the nursing sessions with him. I guess I should be glad that he was able to nurse for over a year even though I was breastfeeding him partially only [yeah, i'm trying to console mysef].

And well, since u're sad about him self-weaning... maybe its time to have another one to replace that displacement effect ;)
oh man..if that's the solution, one may never stop procreating :)
Yeah..the first molar is a milestone i think :)
Actually, most li' girls i've carried feels really soft n 'fluffy'...I dunno issit a natural trait or what..But Claudia is one of the 'softest' one and + that she looks like a doll too!
Yeah..aidan always has that 'cheeky' look actually..like he's plannin something devious!
He's very gd with fork leh. I'm impressed.
and yeah, he has a great appetite. We usually have to be the one to control the amt he eats..not him tellin us when he has enuff becuz he never has enuff.
Heh..he basically just spears like crazy with the fork !
can tell me how to make the tuna & potatoes patties? It looks delicious and I want to make some for Isaac too!
Cecilia
4 potatoes
I small can tuna in brine, drained
Finely Diced carrots
1 cup sweetcorn, drained
1 tblspn fresh parsley, chopped
1 egg, lightly beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for cooking
Steam or Boil potatoes and diced carrots. Mash potatoes and add tuna, diced carrots, sweetcorn, half of the beaten egg, pasley, pepper and salt (very little) and 'mould' into patties. Lightly brush the outer layer of patties with remains of egg and fry it in heated olive cooking oil till it turns slightly brown (and a li' crispy looking).
That's it :) If ur kid is allergic to egg, u can just remove it from the recipe. Carrots and sweetcorn is optional too. u can also choose to oven bake the patties instead of frying it.
His hair getting darker and more right?
Will try out your recipe this weekend and hope she likes them cos she's such a picky eater...dun eat meat, fish and lots of other stuff, I'm at my wits end of what to feed her. Maybe should have a get together session with Aidan and let her see how well A does with his food and maybe she will follow suit *cross fingers*
Heh yeah..try out the potato patties..she may like it. It's easy to make and the adults can eat it too.
U know..when the kids get together, some of the moms do comment that their kids do eat more due to peer pressure :)
Aidan's got a good appetite ya? 6 at one go...very impressive. my mum always says huh, kids can eat, very good....
Ya..aidan has a fantastic appetite..I'm not complaining :)
Aidan's so way cute I couldn't help but revisit your site every time I log on to LJ! Looking at his photos and videos made me change my mind about not wanting kids in future! =) *hee* You are so lucky to have such an adorable baby!
U are still young to think abt babies (i think)..I think wanting a child after one's married is a natural thing..I never did think i would become a mother either and look at me now :)
