more beach pics :)

Heh..look at Aidan's feet. This is me trying to get him to walk on the beach
and him refusing to place his foot flat on the sand..He has such tiny feet :)

Here's more pics of the beach-outing on Saturday. No, my photography skills has not improved overnight..All of these photos were taken by Peter. He has tons of really fabulous pics on his blog, especially of the other kids so if looking at baby/todder pictures makes u happy..u should go there :)

awww I love his little feet!! so cute!!! :D

too bad he doesn't like sitting/walking on the sand, I heard that some babies don't like sitting/walking on grass either I actually watched this video where the mom tried to place the baby on the grass but,the baby just would not touch it heh strange eh?

He was okay with the sand after a while (sitting though) especially when he saw that his friends were having so much fun. Not strange at all coz their feet is really sensitive and they are not used to 'unusual' surface.

Got! That's how we got him to 'calm' down when he finally sat on the plastic bag on top of the sand hehe..

Until now Royce still refuses to step on sand. Emmm...maybe I should join you all next time round, then he will be pressured to step on the sand cos he is a big gor gor to all the little 1+ toddlers.

Oops..! :P Honestly, i thought i wasn't gonna be able to make it initially coz hubby said he had to go for some meeting with an overseas client but he changed it to Sunday instead and told me on Friday evening..But yeah, it did slip my mind abt tellin u abt the picnic ..sorry. try to read the faq. The link on how to include pics into journal entries is here.

But firstly, u need to upload ur pics into a site which allows hotlinking. The ones most commonly used is www.shutterfly.com and www.photobucket.com. Most other sites (eg. yahoo pics, otofo, snapfish) do not allow hotlinking so don't bother with those...

Wow, looks like you guys had lotsa fun! We live a stone's throw away from east coast but don't use the beach enough. Hope to join you guys next time, can?
A doctor friend warned us once that the sand is an excellent breeding ground for germs, so do be careful not to let Aidan eat with sandy hands :)

heh it's always the case u know! I hardly use the pool downstairs too when I should do so (and bring Aidan more often too)..

*sigh* i know i know. Aidan 'lao-sai-ed' yesterday..It was probably ocz of the sand. But fortunately, he's ok now :)

toddlers not wanting to walk on grass/ sand is related to the fact that they have extra sensitive and soft skin on their feet that is not hardened like ours. no need to think too much into it :)

heh no worries..wasnt thinking 'that much' into it. I know abt their sensitive/soft feet already..Aidan's cute abt it usually..whenever he's on a texture he's not familiar with, he'll reach down and touch the ground n then he'll walk on it. I think for sand and grass, it's worse coz it pricks their feet.

Most of the toddlers reacted that way initially but after a while of playing, they will get used to it (like the other more 'seasoned' kids )..:)

Hey, what's with babies and bananas? Met up with my ex-coll yesterday and they also fed their 10mth old a teeny banana which she walloped in no time! Really cute.

Actually, not all babies love bananas..I've seen some babies plainly refuses to it them. I think ur ex-colleague's baby probably loves to eat as much as Aidan :)

it's his first time on sand and a 'floor texture' so rough and prickly..Thus the discomfort especially so since toddler's feet are really sensitive. Just need time to get used to :)

I think i was laughing at the sight of Aidan's li' foot...it was quite funny to see him so adverse to putting his little foot flat on the sand..So bad hor.laugh at my boy :P...

Looking at your pics made me realise 1 thing, we hardly take any family pics at such gatherings! Hmmm, must make it a point to do so.

Aidan was so hilarious standing on his heels! Very smart ah, to minimise contact with the sand. And I noticed the only way to get him settled in on the sand was to give him food. Your baby very easy to handle eh, just food, food and more food!
