at last~~

Haven't updated for a while.. My cardreader went bonkers [note : this is my 2nd cardreader which is only abt 5 mths old at most. My previous cardreader died after 3 mths of usage] so I couldn't download my photos and w/out pictures, I became so uninspired to blog. To make it worse, I somehow managed to burn the cordwire of my camera's battery charger yesterday. It actually caught fire!!! Don't ask how it happened. I'm too embarrassed to write about it.

Woke up this morning totally set on getting a new digital camera [& cardreader]. I've been procrastinating for a while. Thought I could find some good deals at the PC Show last week but nah..pian nang one!! The cameras sold there were even more expensive than those listed in this online shop. I was eyeing the Canon Ixus 500 and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 initially but hubby said that the reviews for the former wasn't that great and I'm kinda reluctant to start using a memory stick especially since I have tons of CF cards around. So finally bought my original choice - a Canon Powershot A80. What deterred me initially was it's bulkiness. It's about the same size and heavier than my Nikon. But hubby was totally sold on it coz of all the positive reviews he read on the net and it was much cheaper than my previous 2 choices so what the heck :P..I got it for slightly less than $600 (including GST) at Alan Photoshop with some freebies thrown in. Thought it was quite a good price since it was $699 (w/out GST) at the PC show and $670 (w/out GST) at the online shop. Okay, now I gotta start reading the manual and learn how to use my new camera :)

pics taken with my old cam of coz..

Loads of activities last week. We spent Vesak Day at the zoo. Not very bright of us since almost half of Singapore (esp families) was there too. Well, at least Aidan had fun..especially at the wet playground. Next time, we'll just bring him straight there and let him play to his heart's content and head home. We'll just forego the animals because he always ended up falling asleep when it's time to view them.

What you'll see at the zoo that day..

a gnu, a lion, a zebra and my li' sleeping piggy :P..

Here's a video of the li' bugger at the wet playground
He was the smallest one at the playground when we were there and that active li' bugger
was moving about like he owned the place. He ended up sitting and playing with 3 li' girls..
Hmmm...he definitely takes after his daddy :P

Then during the weekend, it was stephiechai's gal Hillary's birthday at Pasir Ris Park and our good pals' daughter, Chloe's 2 year old bday party cum bbq at Pasir Ris Downtown East. We somehow managed to make it to both celebrations although all 3 of us was so tired that we ended up napping at the chalet the moment we reached there (photos for Hillary's bday party will be in a later locked entry). Tiring man!

Usual Family pic :)

Oh..and I seem to have lost a li' weight :)

Actually, compared to a month ago, my weighing scale told me that I've lost close to abt 3+kg. I was about 57+/58 kg (depending which part of the day I'm weigh myself) in early May and now, I'm about 53-54kg. The weight loss isn't that apparent 'visually' but I can feel that my clothes are getting looser and my waist and tummy seems to be a tad smaller too.

So, I'm determined to try to reach my target of 50kg hopefully in about 2 month's time. And if I'm disciplined enough, to get back to my pre-preggy weight of 47/48kg :P..I want to be SLIM!

The only problem then would be..what do I do with all those nice XL/L size clothes I bought from Hong Kong?!!! (better not think too far ahead hehe)
