I just want to thank everyone for their good vibes and well-wishes. I really appreciate all your care and concern!

I know my entries have been kinda miserable lately..it's always either about Aidan getting ill or me lamenting about something. I'll try to have more positive thoughts and not always look at the negative aspects of stuff.

Aidan's better now..Fever has subsided though we are still monitoring him closely. He still doesn't have much of an appetite although it's probably difficult for him to eat with his ulcers and sorethroat. I'm okay too..though his constant waking up in the night has left both of us really drained.

Again, thanks so much. Need to tell you guys how much your comments mean to me and that they help to lift my spirits ♥

That's what journals are for, isn't it? To put our feelings in writing and share it with your friends and family. Everything has its ups and downs, and you can't be happy all the time (esp. when your lil one is sick).

Your entries are mostly pretty pleasant, imo.

Glad that things are looking better. Take care!

yeah i guess but even as i read my own entries, i do feel that i've been indulging in self-pity a bit..not my usual self i guess..

thanks! :)

Kids fall ill all the time, but they have the ability to recover quite fast...Anyway, urs is pretty cute in all his assorted hats :)

And he looks a bit like you too!
Sep. 7th, 2004 05:36 am (UTC)
heh you are one of the few who says that. Most peeps say he looks like my ahbang!
Sep. 6th, 2004 07:39 am (UTC)
Yo babe, glad to hear Aidan's much better. Don't worry yah? He's a hardy lil' fella! :)

Geez, HFM seems quite common amongst kids these days. 3 of my cousins' kids contracted it in playschool too. They've all recovered marvelously now ... perhaps too marvelously coz I swear they seem even more rascally than before. LOL!

Hey, I enjoy reading your blog v much coz it gives me a window into the life and aspirations of a young mom/parent ... stuff most single guys like me wouldn't normally think or know much about. And I'm glad you choose to write about both the highs and lows coz that's how life is. So no need for apologies yah? Everyone's entitled to rant once a while ... especially in their own blogs. ;)
Sep. 7th, 2004 09:00 am (UTC)
yeah..i just hope the li monkey does come out stronger after all this..

HFM is common but very troublesome. Before I had Aidan, i heard/read so much abt it but never knew what it was. The problem with it is that it is highly infectious and can be transmitted so easily. Can u imagine, if there is one case, MOH needs to be informed and they will check up on the school to ensure there isn't an 'epidemic' of sorts.

Yeah, I heard HFM is highly infectious. If I recall, one of my cousins even caught it from his kid ... ended up with a high fever and a very sore throat I think.

Glad to hear Aidan's fever had subsided. Have you tried giving Aidan cold food? I am not sure if it is a good idea though but my colleague told me she gave her boy cold food when he got HFMD last time.
Sep. 7th, 2004 09:01 am (UTC)

Hi Angelia,

I have been following your entries but didn't want to comment at all previously because you already have had loads to reply to!

I figured I'd talk to you via email but I changed my mind.

I know how it feels to worry and fret so much for the lil' one. Being a mother is not easy at all but you will never wanna stop being one. :) Also, stop reproaching yourself! There is only so much we can do sometimes and IMO, I think you're doing a great job!
Sep. 7th, 2004 05:35 am (UTC)
thanks diana!

again, i guess its natural as humans to have constant feeling of guilt...U know, i used to such a self-centred person before but now with a kid, i realised i've changed quite a bit..:P
Sep. 7th, 2004 10:13 pm (UTC)
I can't believe you were self-centred! :)
