Was informed late evening yesterday by my sis that bro was driving dad to the hospital.. Dad was at the factory moving some of his stuff about and he felt pain in his legs and subsequent numbness and weakness in them...My uncle (it's a family business) saw that he didn't look good and quickly called my brother up to see if he could go over to the office to check on him. Bro on seeing that dad was really in a bad shape brought him to the hospital immediately.

Apparently, dad was involved in a car accident the day before..A taxi had swerved into the lane of the car in front of him and the latter couldn't stop in time and so he hit the taxi which led to a chain reaction..Dad couldn't react in time too so his car also ended up hitting that car in front & another car crashed into his car from behind. Not surprisingly, his car was pretty bashed up.. Dad claimed he felt okay after the accident..that he wasn't hurt at all so he didn't even bother to inform us about it. jeez..

According to the staff nurse, the doctor had done a CT scan and said that it was likely that dad had a minor motor stroke that had led to the transient weakness of his limbs. We still aren't sure whether the accident he had was associated to it at all..We haven't been able to talk to the doctor at all even though we'd asked repeatedly to see him so we can't be sure..Would have to be down at the hospital early tomorrow so that we can get the opportunity to see him.

When I saw dad at the observation ward yesterday night, it just hit me suddenly how much my dad had aged..He looked so pale and frail lying on the bed..and he didn't recognise me initially when I spoke to him...He said that his legs felt numb & he had problems moving them..but at least his voice was still strong and could even joke with me and asked about his grandson..

Saw him today and he looked so much better, much to our relief. He was even able to stand up and walk about..though very tentatively. His limbs were still hurting and he wasn't happy that the doctor didn't divulge much about his condition. His main concern though seemed to be in getting his insurance claims done..which my bro managed to settle..

I was at Annydaynema's place yesterday evening when my sis called me and as hubby had his lasik surgery yesterday, he was at home resting and was in no condition to drive to the hospital.. Though I wanted to grab a cab to the hospital, several pple insisted on sending me there even though they'd just reached Anny's place not long ago. Sharon nining, tell Jonathan thanks for the car-ride. Really appreciate it u guys.. And also thanks to those who had smsed me and queried about his condition..He's much better now..Will know more about his condition tomorrow after we speak to his doctor..
