Both hubby and I were on leave today so we'd decided to let the li' bugger ponteng school and bring him to the Jurong Birdpark since we've never been there..
Well, we didn't ended up viewing many birds in the end. Aidan plonked himself into the push trolley which was at the side of the entrance into the birdpark and refused to get out of it. So we had no choice but to rent it ($10) and we took turns pushing/pulling the trolley with the li' bugger in it. He simply glanced at the various birds that we pointed out to him, with not much excitement. Even the striking pink flamingos didn't warrant a second look and the lazy bugger just sat comfortably in the trolley sipping his water as his poor parents were frying under the hot sun.
It was only when we reached the water park that his face lit up and he quickly alighted from the trolley. So there u have it..the li' one, as you can see from the pics below, was happy like a bird at the birdpark :)
Next time, we'll just bring him to Bugis to play with the water instead!

Here's another CNY outfit of his :)
Together with Chloe..
heh..they are holding hands :)
This CNY was good for me :) Won over $1k in mahjong over the past week..But had given out lotsa red packets too. I dunno man but there seems to be more kids this year. Every place we visited, each family seemed to have more 1 kid. Lugi man! Time to consider having a second one *grin*
I think there is no escaping from the terrible 2s. Was hoping that Aidan will remain his good natured self but since the start of the year, the li' bugger has become more stubborn and naughty. He's such an active li' bugger and I gotta admit, we do let him get his way most of the time.
Nowadays, whenever he doesn't get what he wants, he'll start bawling loudly or will whine so pitifully and no amount of timeout and calm reasoning will quieten him. I really marvel at his ability to turn on the watertap. And the minute we finally give in, he'll just stop crying prompto..and we'd spied him smiling away deviously on several occasions and we knew he got us wrapped around his teeny fingers *sigh* I really don't know what to do with him at times. Really hope he doesn't end up being one mega brat!
At least he's still afraid of me at times because I seem to be the only one who reprimands him and smack his bottom once in a while when he gets too out of hand. Honestly, I'm seriously thinking of introducing him to the cane if he continues to be so michevious..
