speakth like optimus prime

Heh..no. He wasn't the one who wanted this. I did! The Optimus Prime helmet with adjustable straps which allows the wearer to change his voice to that of a robot. Uber geeky man! Got it from Toys R Us at Vivocity. The SA there was telling us that all the transformers autobots were sold out..the only transformers from the movie left on the shelf were the decepticons. I was asking whether there would be a Megatron version of the helmet. He said it was unlikely because no one would buy it since he was a bad robot. Aiyoh.

As u can see, Aidan isn't the only kid in the house..I think the only sensible adult is Nenita! She's always asking us to stop buying toys :P

heh..i've been looking for something like this for a while already..was so happy to see it at TRU that i just grabbed it and headed straight for the cashier. Nenita had this flabberghasted look on her face and she was like "For Aidan?". When I told her it was for me, she couldn't believe it.

wow, he (or you) has so many of them!
haha... she has to stop you guys from buying toys cos she's the one to keep them, right?
After hearing all the good movie reviews, we also brought our boys to watch the movie. Thereafter, Peter is the one keep looking out for the toys and Ethan always look out for transformers water bottles, mug, stationery... etc
btw, Ethan doesn't like the movie but he always remind us that we went to watch transformers.
just curious, how much are those figurines? they can transform to cars, right?
Jul. 11th, 2007 03:34 pm (UTC)
Actually he has more, abt 12 i think. Nenita was still 'transforming' the rest of the transformers so aidan wasn't able to display them when i took the pic. most of the transformers were gifts.. from his birthday last year! I think abt 5 were from us. Price ranges btwn $10+ to over $100+++ (for the bigger size transformers). The ones he has are from $10 to $30+. Toys R Us has a good range! Oh, they don't only transform to cars..to planes, guns, beasts etc too. Cars are the easiest to 'transform' though...some of the others are quite complicated! I think Nenita is pleading us to stop because Aidan always seeks her help to transform! She has become somewhat of an expert now!

Heh..Peter is like a big kid! How come Ethan didn't enjoy the show?

yeah, the SA is not wrong. The TRU at Forum has 90% the autobots sold out. Only the decepticons left ...

Jul. 16th, 2007 02:33 pm (UTC)
the power of the movie in moving toys :D

Jul. 13th, 2007 05:34 am (UTC)
aidan looks so cute with the helmet on! was just wondering if the movie was a tad too deep for children to comprehend. but i guess all the action and robots makes up for everything else they did not. btw, take care angelia!

Re: gwen
heh i dont think kids will care much abt the storyline. the minute the transformers appeared, they were enamoured :)
u take care too eh :)

Same here for buying so much toys for the kids. Two years ago I was so into wooden thomas trains that I bought at least 60 of them over a 6-month period (son only takes them out to play once every month). Then now my hubby is into lego and macdonald toys. He just have to collect them. So I always tell the kids that these are daddy and mummy's toys and they are only borrowing them from us. Heart really pain when they drop.
Jul. 16th, 2007 02:34 pm (UTC)
wow 60 thomas trains?!!!! that's alot!
heh, i think us moms & dads should try to restrain ourselves more :P
Jul. 14th, 2007 04:18 pm (UTC)
hahaha...how funny! :)
Jul. 18th, 2007 12:52 pm (UTC)
Initially didn't know how the voice changer would sound. Couldn't try when I saw it at Toys R Us. Now I am tempted to get it for the kids. But have to tell them to handle with care. $70 bucks?

I bought bumblebee and swindle for the kid and lad and both are broken. :(
Jul. 18th, 2007 01:19 pm (UTC)
actually, if you ask the sa at TRU, they do have a sample set for trying! heh, you have 2 boys..therefore the toys probably get lesser chance of surviving! surprisingly, most of aidan's tranformers are still intact. i guess it is because he likes them too much to destroy them!
