I recall being all excited last year when it was Aidan's first day in Primary One! And now he's in Primary Two already and being the ever-so-loving mom *coff*, I took leave yesterday so that I could be with him on his first day of P2! (Okay lah, I knew I would be grumpy going back to work after the nice long NY weekend so I took one more day off!) Met several pals whose kids were in ACSJ P1 this year and seeing their anxious faces reminded me of how gancheong I was last year too :)
The boy was so eager to get back to school and kept asking me throughout the school holidays when school will be starting. Not that he loves school that much that he can't wait to start studying. He basically misses his school pals and wanted to play with them again. I guess I shouldn't be complaining :)
Okay..this time round, I didn't lug my dslr to the school. Was playing around with the toy camera app on my iphone..I like the lomo effect :)
The year 2009 went by in a whirl and I can't exactly say that it has been that eventful. Well, 'cept for the boy attending Primary One (and that trying period making him study for his exams) and also the purchase of my own property. Saw many new births, several hookups, and unfortunately more separations/divorces.
Personally, I don't think I've achieved much so there are several goals that I've set for myself which I truly hope to accomplish (those who are close to me will know exactly what) by the end of this year. I've changed too. I'm definitely less extroverted as before and more mellow (and boring) I guess. Age is definitely catching up. Oh yes..I'm grown horizontally too *sob* By at least 6 kg!! On the positive side, my boobies have grown bigger but unfortunately, so have my tummy & derriere!! Have been indulging too much in good food so I guess I should really start watching my weight or at least make an effort to work out consistently. Many have asked me about my social/love life too..I really don't want to say much but I think i'm still mentally not ready for anything. But I'm definitely optimistic :) So I'm gonna end off my blog entry with this quote that I like..
