Like mommy, like baby :D

Please welcome a new bunch of mummies - wombat76 with baby Natanya , erns with her boy, Beanie, happyqile with Baby Qile of coz ,anselmpiuslong with baby Anselm..and twp77 with her 2 boys :) *pantpant* to LJ..Loads of cute, smiley, spitty baby pics for your beoing~!

*sigh*..Been dropping hair like crazy. Actually, one thing I missed abt being preggy was that my hair stopped shedding that much and I've hardly had any bad hair days then. My hair was so thick and luscious *weep*..(tho a li' oily). I didn't realise I'd started to shed so much hair till my maid, while cleaning the house was like.."Wah..maam, your hair all over the house..the vacuum cleaner almost kena stuck.!!" *sob*..Another sign was when I noticed Aidan munching at something yesterday and on closer look, I realised he was sucking on a fistful of MY hair..*arghh*..They must have dropped into his cot somehow..(and I change his bedsheet every week!!).

I have half a mind to go visit that Yun Nam centre but I heard from people it's pian nang one..Actually, I feel like doing something different man. Did anyone saw AMI yesterday? I liked Kimberly Locke's locks..wavy at the ends..very classy. Hmm, dunno whether I'll end up looking like an ah-soh if I try such a hair-do.Hmmm...

Oi moxielass and uniclycommon, see, see..Aidan tilts his head to one side [same angle somemore!!] when he takes pics too!!!! This boy takes after me~~~

Parent's-in-law came during lunch so we decided to let Aidan try his first solid food today! Dad was confident that Aidan would have no problem with it coz he's been really eaing everything we've fed him so far ..even his medication ..and dad was so right. Aidan was already so impatient with us for taking our time to feed him (coz I had to prepare his cereal) so when mom placed the teaspoon at the edge of his mouth , he was so ready that he had his mouth wide open...and he didn't have any hesitation n just gobbled up the whole blob of cereal down..Very clean n swift..he didn't dribble any of it ~~Initially, we were thinking that one teaspoon would suffice..just a li' tryout. But he looked as if he wanted more..so we ended up feeding him @5 teaspoons full..

Food Glorious Food~~~

Aidan listenin to his grandma tellin grandmother's stories...

HEHeH sO ADORABLE!!! maybe u should try rubbing some oliveoil on yr hair, it may become a bit oily but u sure does helps your hair to grow fuller..wrap yr hair in a towel after application, juz like hair treatment..hair lost could be.. perharps it's yr diet? MSG intake?

I understand it's natural for post-natal mummies to shed hair. I have lotsa hair so shedding hair is kinda natural but i've been shedding more. Hmm..yeah.i did hear that rubbin olive oil will work. May try it :D

Hair-dropping...me too
Hey I'm dropping hair like nobody's biz too, for >1mth already! Read somewhere that it's normal though, hair dropping usually starts at 4 mths post-partum, dunno when it'll end. Apparently, it's sorta to "make up" for the 9 mths when we had our good hair days, blah! . So hang in there, as they always say...this too shall pass. Let u know when I finally stop dropping hair.

BTW, Aidan looks like he can sit really well already ya! Natanya can't really sit on her own yet. We try to prop her against a pillow to take her pictures but she always likes to slide down, so we end up with lotsa pictures on her tummy or being carried instead.

What?!!! Not fair!! I thought the good hair days was a reward for us having babies arghhhh~~~

I sorta 'trained' Aidan to sit on his own since he was abt 2 months old (this is taken on Feb 25th - he was born on Dec 23)..
. He seemed to enjoy sitting there so we let him..and up till now, he still likes to sit there and watch tv hehe..

Baru baju banyak
Another new outfit? Cool! Wah piang, next time when I'm @ your place, pls show me where u manage to keep all his clothes - definitely not @ his baby corner anymore ... mebbe adjourned to the built-in wardrobe liao ..
About dropping hair, all of us mummies after birth sure drop a lot ... it's the hormone thingy ... Apparently, they say this phase will pass, so no worries. And for us with long hair, will seem like dropping more b'coz of the weight ... that's why mebbe it's a good idea to snip off a few inches. BTW, I never see u having to tie up your long hair with Aidan ... ? For me, I always have to tie them up 'coz either the hair gets brushed onto his face, making him uneasy, or he ends up getting a fistfull of my hair & sometimes takes a while to let go ... ouch!!

Re: Baru baju banyak
eh..still at his baby corner leh..Now he has 2 'drawers' of clothes :D..This is one of his manyue gift. I realised there are several gift clothes which I'd tucked away in a corner coz it was too big of it and just took out some of them for him to wear yesterday.
I do tie it up when it's really hot but I sorta prefer to let it down. I'm hiao lah..even at home hehe..

i go to a hair treatment salon near Khatib MRT station.
it's only $20 per visit and their shampoo and hair lotion is less than $20 a bottle.

it's really effective.

my totally bald patch (damaged during my birth) is sprouting fine hair now.
but due to the nature of the baldness, it's hte best that it can go.
my friend who lost hair due to stress is getting all her hair back after visiting for a few months.

i can recommend you there.
but take note that the most impt thing to nurse it back is that you must have the perseverance to go every week and follow their instructions about wahsing your hair, how to comb etc.
and you won't see immediate results.
if you can't stick to it, then there's no point going.
let me know!
May. 9th, 2003 01:34 am (UTC)
Fwah! $20 for hair treatment is VERY cheap. I used to go Mahogany and it cost me over $150 each time for the hairspa. Nowadays, I go to my friendly neighhbour Jantzen but it still cost me abt 50 bucks. But Khatib is v far leh..

I'm not shedding till I'm balding yet. I'm fortunate that I have really thick hair but that's also probably the reason why the amt of hair I've dropped looks massive. Will go to my hairstylist for advise first and when I get really desperate, I'll let u know ok?
May. 8th, 2003 11:10 pm (UTC)
WAIT!!! Don't go running to Yun Nan yet! Unfortunately it's a phase that all new mommies hv to go thru but this hair loss process will stop after awhile.

May. 9th, 2003 01:47 am (UTC)
How long did the the 'hair-dropping' phase lasted for u?
Oie...we gotta confirm on MJJJJJJJ~~!!!!!!!!

Yah this is what us mommies go thur for our lil' darlings... losing hair losing sleep losing our breast to our lil darlings. Tiffany has recently learn that she can take the nipple very far then it will pop, aiyo!! She will now test how far can the nipple go when she turns her head! So now feeding time is quiet time.
May. 9th, 2003 02:25 am (UTC)
hehe..u say until like have babies v chum like that *grin*
But it's fun eh, to see them making use of their senses and intellect to figure out stuff..

w00t! Aidan so dishy in his new outfit!

Hair loss? Having a baby means sacrificing so much.. Take care of your hair! Maybe go for treatment once a month? (Your hair looks very healthy and shiny actually..) AMI was pretty good last night. Kim's hair is nice - you can try out a new hairstyle!

...and I still think he has very cute pouty lips!
May. 9th, 2003 02:29 am (UTC)
hehe..yeah, his lips quite 'kissable' lah..yingtaosiaochui
-> my hypy sucks..

Heh..yesterday's AMI was quite predictable right? I still thought last week's ep in terms of songs were the best!
I like that kinda style which Kim had, longish and wavy..But dunno whether hard it's hard to upkeep .

Yeah..I had this journal when I was abt 8 months pregnant and had the digicam just 1 week before Aidan arrived. So basically, I'd almost posted a pic a day since Aidan was abt 4 days old..So some of the Ljers who knew me then sorta saw Aidan grew from a squishy li' thing to his current bwee size :)
