Hehe..terminalcase42, stephiechai & all the LJmummies, now's a good time to load up more baby/toddler stuff. Mothercare, John Little & Robinson are all having sale!!!! The sale at Mothercare was pretty good. Unfortunately, it's better if u have a li' girl *sigh*..same for the ones at JL too! So many pretty li' girls stuff..not enuff baby boys item Bah! But..I still managed to spend quite a bundle ~ Bought a playpen @60 bucks at JL, a few rompers & some other baby items at both JL & Mothercare hehe..*happy*

I'm amazed at the crowd whenever there's a sale going on..It was a Friday afternoon..I thought people would have been at work but Nooooooooo! Half of Singapore was at JL queuing from Level 1 to Level 4! It was hot and humid outside..It was hotter and more humid IN John Little..Aidan unfortunately didn't take too well to heat so he was grouchy again ..arghh! Our experience at JL didn't deter us from heading off to Centrepoint to check out Mothercare & Robinson though~

The worst part of it all was..I didn't buy anything for myself *weep*..Walked past Mango ..saw the big sale sign, gritted my teeth and headed for Robinson's Children Section instead .*arghh* I'm truly turning into an aunty!
Consolation to self..Mango clothes doesn't fit me anyway!

While I was at Max Brenner's doing the 'tai-tai' thingy with the LJ mummies on Thursday, my in-laws trotted down to the KiddyPalace at TP and bought the Bouncing Baby Play Place exersaucer as a gift for their grandson~*muakz* So dear Aidan now has something else to occupy him and thankfully, he seems to like it and spend quite a fair bit of time in it.. I think what he likes about it most is that he can 'stand' up finally without 'aid'.. He would adopt this 'look ma, no hands needed' stance ~

I'm King of the..err Exersaucer~

Grrrrrr..don't mess with me when I'm on the throne..

If nothing goes wrong, I will be lepaking at Banyan Tree Bintan sometime in early or mid-June...*yippeeee*

You know, i have a friend my age right, who has a daughter at 18 mths and another baby on the way, and she's the ONLY PERSON among the other ppl with kids that doesn't make her daughter call me "auntie" *weeps a little for dramatic effect*..the day has come when i'm an "auntie" *WAAAAAAAAIIILLLLLLS*

but i guess it's just soon or later thing lor. Sorry for whining. But no leh, Mango's clothes aren't really stereotypically for those whom you assume are for. That's one thing good about them, so JUST GO IN AND SHOP ok? *shoves angelia* The only thing i find 'bad' if you'd like to call it is, that when you find something you like, chances are 234113 rest of the singaporean women have it already. That's the prob from buying from a chain argh.

Eh..so what does ur friend's kids call u? Ur name??

Actually, Mango n Zara's clothes just doesn't seem to suit me. The S is too S and the L is too L..and I dunno, they look as if their clothes are for pple with long torsos coz I look damn awful in it..
I think I'll stick to wearing jeans and simple tops for a while till I lose 10 pounds :P~~

Hehe..aiyah, u shouldn't long for Banyan. Go Japan instead *wink*

ya by my name. I dunno, when the kid calls me Auntie right, then everybody will give me a 2nd look and can't seem to take me seriously as an Auntie. YET LA. hur.

Actually the few times i've been to Zara in Sg, really quite bad ah. Too weird for me, all the tribal dunno what kinda prints. But the one in Toronto was fantastic though, and best part, Canadian dollar and Sg dollar almost 1 to 1! :X but too bad that time i went it was over thanksgiving, middle of the semester no money haha :X

OH YAH. thanks for reminding me. :P It's only US$20 to get off at Narita and stay for as long as i want. :O

Yeah...it was first the tribal stuff..then the peasant blouses type..eeeks! Horrible! Aiyah..stuff in Canada & States always better. Always seems like we get the 'leftovers' here..bah!

Yeah lor..might as well take that opportunity to stay over in Japan and Marku can be ur guide *grin* and you will have ur good pal all to yourself!!!! That would be really fun man!

May. 24th, 2003 06:36 pm (UTC)

May. 24th, 2003 07:02 am (UTC)
ooh... i wanna go to the banyan tree too! was actually thinking of going at first, but it just doesn't seem worth it paying that much for a resort kinda thing... hrm... i heard the villa facing the south china sea is fantastic... *envious*

Hmm..the deal hubby saw was @$370 for 3 days 2 nights..which was not too bad! Not sure which room we have but I'm happy with anything :)
Just wanna go n relax!

Yeah..initially I found it expensive too but hubby said to go somewhere really nice to pamper ourselves ..esp since we are bringing the baby and our inlaws are coming. Heard the service there is fantastic and the view is beautiful :)

U should go somewhere to relax too!!
May. 24th, 2003 07:51 am (UTC)
370 is USD or SGD?
May. 24th, 2003 07:54 am (UTC)
quite reasonable rite!
May. 24th, 2003 08:21 am (UTC)
I would think so!! A lousy bungalow-type chalet in Singapore alerady costs $200+ for the same period of time! And Banyan looks WAY better!

Can't shop these days cos the crowd is growing too hude for me to take. Took a trip down to Bishan today to meet the boyfriend as well as visit the new Muji outlet there, and boy was it packed. Could have sworn that there were at least a few thousand people going about in that puny building.

Aidan's soo lucky to have grandparents who pamper him as much, if not MORE than his own parents do!! Go give birth to another and make it a daughter this time round. This way you wouldn't miss a single sale when it comes around!
May. 24th, 2003 10:23 am (UTC)
*sigh* If I have a daughter..I'll definitely go broke man. My allowance (if I'm still a SAHM then) would go completely to the kids and I'll be wearing rags!

I still dont understand y pple like Muji so much..issit cheaper now, their stuff?
May. 24th, 2003 09:02 am (UTC)
wow, so cheap ah? where didya book from? hehe... is it still valid? *excited*
May. 24th, 2003 10:21 am (UTC)
Hubby was the one who told me abt the deal. Lemme ask him n I'll get back to ya ok? :D..

Am sure it's still valid.
