My turn...bleah~

Bah....didn't know Aidan's bug was so strong..my cough has gotten worse, my nose seems completely block cept for the constant 'dripping' of mucus.. , my throat is really sore and irritated, my joints ache and to make matters worse, I got fong mow!! Hate it when that happens..my whole body, especially my thighs will break out into rashes and it itches like crazy ...M.u.s.t...N.o.t...S.c.r.a.t.c.h.!

Yeah..I should make my way to the doctor's soon..waiting for my dad-in-law to come..but am wondering whether it's good to have Aidan with me there coz he hasn't fully recovered yet too. If his phlegmy cough and stuck nose still persists, I may have to go to the paed to ask for the nebuliser..

Aidan's been sleepin and nursing really well now that he's sick ...I love it that I'm able to put him to sleep so easily by just nursing him till he becomes drunk with milk that he'll get so groggy and falls into deep sleep :D.. He's still a hyper li' thing when he's awake tho~

Best sight for a sick mummy....

Well, at least my second attempt at cooking for baby was successful :D..Yeah, having the slowcooker helped..so easy eh! I tried it and it actually taste pretty nice and nua..even without salt..Hope Aidan appreciates the effort..:D~

oh dear... get well soon, both of u!

u may wanna consider trying Oil Of Oregano for your rashes? Trish used this to treat her psoriasis. it's really effective. it's available at VitaKids at Forum. lmk if u want to use my discount card or if u need me to get it for you and i'll try to pass it to you somehow. take care & rest well!

Is Oil of Oregano supposed to be taken orally or to be applied to the skin? Will check it out probably..does it help with dandruff too *grin*..

Baby food

I think your porridge looks good. Did you taste it before giving to Aidan? How well is he taking the porridge?

My girl initially doesn't really like my porridge, then after I tasted it myself, I found it's too bland. Aft checking with my mum, then I realised I have to marinate the meat (sometime 1 piece of fish or pork) with salt for about 45 mins, then I will wash away the salt before putting into the slow cooker with potatoes and carrots.

But of course you have to let Aidan eat the bland porridge in the beginning..so that he gets the natural taste of the food...if he likes it, then stick to it...still better without any seasoning!

Re: Baby food
I did try it and I thought it tasted pretty nice..well, cept that it wasnt salty..

I cooked it with 1 shallot and 1 piece of ikan bilis and removed them before servin..so the porridge did taste a li' salty..Also, I didnt add meat coz I wanted to jus make it a plain veggie porridge for the first time so it was probably not v tasty.

He was okay with it I guess..cute to see him chomping on the li' grains..But the thing was..he seemed to get 'full' more easily compared to his cereal meal and his stomach was really bloated..wonder whether that's normal..
